Description

This Fulbright U.S. Scholar award, sponsored by the Universidad de Murcia, supports collaborative research at its Medical School in Spain. The central goal is to develop joint research initiatives directed toward European Union and U.S. funding organizations, incorporating the visiting scholar’s expertise into university projects. Ongoing work focuses on environmental health and reproductive health epidemiology, with developing research in hospital epidemiology, including clinical epidemiology, and infectious disease epidemiology.

Scholars participate in ongoing projects, collaborate on research writing, and deliver two research seminars on topics of their choosing. Research may be proposed by the scholar or designated by the host. Undergraduate or graduate teaching is also an option. These activities support Fulbright’s broader goals of international understanding, cooperation, and engagement between people in the United States and Spain.
