Description
This opportunity provides funding for researchers based at eligible UK research organisations to undertake "discipline hopping" between Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and other fields. The aim is to foster interdisciplinary research, allowing ICT researchers to apply their skills in new domains or for researchers from other disciplines to bring their expertise into ICT. The scheme encourages the development of new knowledge, skills, and collaborations that benefit the ICT research community and broader research landscape.
Funded activities may include researcher salary, travel, training, consumables, and activities to broaden the impact of the discipline hop. Projects should immerse the researcher in the new discipline to maximise collaborative outcomes.
