Description
This opportunity provides flexible, large-scale funding for world-leading research groups addressing significant and strategic challenges in engineering and the physical sciences. Programme grants are designed to support a critical mass of talent, fostering interdisciplinary and collaborative research on a major theme. The scheme enables the formation of teams of internationally recognised scientists or engineers, encourages partnerships between universities, and offers the flexibility to allocate resources dynamically as research progresses. Emphasis is placed on responsible innovation, sustainability, career development for early career researchers, and national/international visibility. Effective management, including an independent advisory board, is required throughout the grant.
