Description
This opportunity from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), provides support for a wide spectrum of discovery-led research in engineering and the physical sciences. The scheme is open to projects of any size or duration, including high-risk/high-reward research, feasibility studies, instrument development, and interdisciplinary collaborations. The EPSRC particularly encourages proposals addressing critical technologies such as artificial intelligence, engineering biology, future telecommunications, semiconductors, and quantum technologies. Applications are assessed on scientific and engineering merit, and the majority of the proposed research must fall within the EPSRC’s remit.
