Description
This opportunity provides funding for a broad range of research projects in engineering and physical sciences through EPSRC’s responsive mode. Grants can support anything from short-term studies to large-scale, multi-million-pound initiatives. There are no restrictions on project duration or value, and proposals are welcome in any area within EPSRC’s remit, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, digital security, energy, engineering, healthcare technologies, ICT, manufacturing, mathematical sciences, physical sciences, and quantum technologies. High-quality proposals addressing critical technologies—such as AI, engineering biology, future telecommunications, semiconductors, and quantum technologies—are particularly encouraged.
Projects are assessed on scientific and engineering merit. The grant covers staff costs, equipment, project needs, impact-related costs, and travel. The scheme is designed to support excellent, innovative, and impactful research that advances the field and fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration.
