Description
This opportunity funds the purchase, enhancement, and support of strategic research infrastructure (equipment, resources, or both) to strengthen UK scientific capability and enable cutting-edge research aligned with EPSRC and UKRI priorities. There are two routes: (1) purchasing and setting up new strategic infrastructure, and (2) providing resources to support and maximize the usage of existing infrastructure. The aim is to facilitate world-leading research, encourage equipment sharing, and ensure funded infrastructure is accessible, sustainable, and strategically justified. Only applicants invited after a successful outline application are eligible to submit a full proposal.
