This opportunity funds high-quality, discovery-led research in engineering and physical sciences, enabling UK researchers to collaborate internationally with partners in Ireland, Luxembourg, Brazil, Germany, and the US via EPSRC’s lead agency agreements. The scheme is designed to reduce barriers to international collaboration, allowing for joint applications and coordinated funding decisions. Research must predominantly align with the EPSRC remit, covering areas such as artificial intelligence, digital security, energy, engineering, healthcare technologies, ICT, manufacturing, mathematical sciences, physical sciences, and quantum technologies. The grant encourages maximising international research opportunities and innovation.
