Description
The Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) provides federal funding to help Nevada and its subrecipients enhance their ability to prevent, prepare for, protect against, and respond to acts of terrorism and other catastrophic events. The HSGP includes two main components for Nevada: the State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) and Operation Stonegarden (OPSG). SHSP supports statewide and regional preparedness across all hazards, while OPSG specifically funds border security activities in eligible counties. Funding supports planning, organization, equipment, training, exercises, and management/administration to address capability gaps and national priority areas.
