Description
The Illinois State Library’s Equalization Aid Grant provides additional funding to public libraries whose local tax base produces comparatively little revenue for library services. It is an annual, supplemental award alongside—but distinct from—the Public Library Per Capita Grant.
Libraries describe how they will use the aid to provide public library service and meet or make progress toward Serving Our Public 4.0: Standards for Illinois Public Libraries. The application asks them to identify their performance against the standards and set priorities for improvement where needed. Grant funds supplement the library’s regular budget.
