Description
This grant supports the purchase and installation of equipment considered fixed assets (e.g., computers, lab equipment, stage lights, archival storage) for organizations in the arts, heritage, historic preservation, and science sectors within King County, Washington. Funded by county lodging and sales tax through Doors Open legislation, the program aims to enhance organizational capacity, expand public access, and advance equity—particularly for marginalized communities and underserved geographic areas. Applications are evaluated on quality, impact, equity advancement, implementation/maintenance planning, and project feasibility. Special consideration is given to organizations serving communities disproportionately impacted by structural racism or located outside Seattle or in designated Communities of Opportunity.
