    Description

The Equity & Inclusion Fund at the Community Foundation of St. Clair County supports bold philanthropy centered on underserved groups. Its Equity & Inclusion Committee seeks to help these groups tell their own stories, receive support, and become philanthropists within their own circles of influence. The fund connects storytelling, support, and participation in philanthropy, recognizing underserved groups as both recipients of support and contributors to community giving.

The fund operates within the Foundation’s broader grantmaking system. Applicants use a shared application, and the Program Team forwards requests to the appropriate committee. Across its grantmaking, the Foundation seeks partners that demonstrate diversity and inclusion through their policies, practices, actions, and impact, including their mission, governance, staffing, volunteers, vendors, and communities served.
