Established in 2023, the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) Early Career Research Award recognizes an outstanding young researcher in the process of career consolidation. It supports researchers whose work advances the theory or applications of biomechanics or mechanobiology, combining recognition of scientific contributions with practical financial support for their research activities.
The award is offered at every ESB Congress and is selected by an Award Committee appointed by the ESB Council. The honorarium is intended to cover specific activity-related costs, such as grant-writing consulting support, mobility, and open-access publication fees. Alongside the monetary award and certificate, the winner is requested to deliver an award plenary lecture to the congress audience.
