Description
The European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) offers Travel Awards to help young researchers participate in its Congress rather than fund a separate research project. Each award supports the practical costs of attending the meeting, including travel, accommodation and living expenses. The next Congress takes place in Berlin, Germany, from July 4–7, 2027, under the theme “Biomechanics for the Future: Bridging Science, Technology, and Healthcare.”
An ESB Award Committee selects recipients using the scientific quality of submitted Congress abstracts. The regulations also prioritize researchers from low-income countries, based on GDP per capita, while retaining scientific merit as a selection criterion. Funding is limited, and the number of awards depends on the society’s financial conditions for each Congress.
