Description
The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) offers the Outreach Grant to encourage researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals from around the world to participate in ESCMID Global. Part of the Society’s annual congress grants and awards, it supports attendance rather than a separate research project, covering congress registration and providing an allowance toward travel and accommodation.
Since 2021, the initiative has welcomed numerous first-time attendees, bringing diverse perspectives to the Society and giving recipients access to the congress experience. Support is available to eligible presenting authors even if their submitted abstract is not accepted for the programme. The travel allowance is reserved for onsite participants, while awardees unable to attend onsite can still receive free registration.
