    Description

The ESEB Outreach Initiative Fund supports projects that promote evolution-related activities and improve public knowledge about evolution globally. Run by the European Society for Evolutionary Biology, it funds educational initiatives, public seminars, exhibitions, workshops, and other forms of public engagement rather than scientific meetings. The society also describes its outreach support as helping popularize evolutionary biology and counter creationism, especially in non-English-speaking countries.

Supported approaches include school activities, teaching resources, illustrated books, podcasts, animated videos, games, and museum displays. Previous projects have connected evolution with agriculture, health, biodiversity, and the environment, or used art, storytelling, multilingual materials, and inclusive education to reach new audiences. The fund is not intended to provide continual support for established projects.
