The Policy and Evolutionary Biology (PEB) Funds are administered by the European Society for Evolutionary Biology’s Policy Committee. The programme supports activities focused on the policy and/or societal impact of evolutionary biology research, including local meetings on policy, societal impact and related issues, and actions intended to influence policy. Its first annual call launched in 2026.
The programme aims to help evolutionary biologists explore policy involvement and strengthen the contribution of evolutionary biology to societal challenges. Activities may take place worldwide. Selection prioritises relevance to evolutionary biology, a clear policy link, breadth and depth of impact, and benefits to early-career researchers. Successful activities must provide evidence of policy and/or wider impact.
