The ESPE Research Unit Grant is a collaborative research programme supported by the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology. It aims to foster, facilitate and coordinate high-quality research in paediatric endocrinology, identify important research topics, and strengthen collaboration among society members. It supports both physicians and scientists, with applications involving investigators from at least three countries strongly encouraged.
The programme funds practical research costs and prioritises relevant questions, clear hypotheses, sound methodology and experimental design, feasibility, and potential for publication and further research. Previous awards have supported genetic and molecular studies of endocrine disorders, growth and puberty, bone health, diabetes, childhood obesity, long-term health outcomes, and transition to adult care.
