This opportunity funds collaborative research projects in any area of the social sciences between UK-based researchers and those based in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The scheme is a partnership between the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC, part of UKRI) and the State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). Its aim is to reduce barriers to cross-border research, encourage ambitious and innovative studies, and create impactful international collaborations. Projects should be primarily social science in focus but may include interdisciplinary elements. Support is available for research projects, methodological development, and infrastructure initiatives, with a maximum duration of five years.
