Description
The Etta Zuber Falconer Lecture is an annual honor presented by the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) and the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) to recognize women who have made distinguished contributions to the mathematical sciences or mathematics education. The award celebrates not only outstanding mathematical achievement but also leadership and dedication to broadening participation and advancing diversity, particularly for minorities and women in scientific careers. The recipient delivers a one-hour expository lecture at the MAA MathFest each August and receives a $1,000 honorarium, an honorary certificate, and is featured in the AWM Newsletter.
