This Horizon Europe Innovation Action supports projects focused on advancing the design and operation of Transmission System Operator (TSO) control rooms. The aim is to enhance the reliability, resilience, and efficiency of electricity transmission grids by integrating cutting-edge digital, interoperable, and automated solutions. Projects must address both hardware and software innovations, including wide area monitoring, real-time analytics, digital twins, artificial intelligence, open-source tools, and robust cybersecurity. Demonstrations are required in at least two pilots across different EU or associated countries.
Key expected outcomes include:
Consortia must include at least two TSOs and two universities or research organisations, as well as technology suppliers and distribution system operators. Collaboration with other relevant projects and participation in the BRIDGE initiative are strongly encouraged.
