This European Commission Horizon Europe Coordination and Support Action addresses the gap between climate adaptation research results and wider market uptake. The selected project will establish a common framework for supporting businesses with near-market solutions, including nature-based solutions. Support covers business and financial planning, regulatory guidance, final product development, commercialisation preparation and market-ready pilots with performance testing.
The coordinating consortium will map buyers, aggregate demand and connect innovators with public authorities and relevant private buyers. Its portfolio should span water, food and agriculture, transport, energy, health, civil security and critical infrastructure, including buildings. Alongside helping solutions advance towards investment and deployment, the project will identify structural and operational barriers, document good practices and produce policy-relevant insights supporting the upcoming European Integrated Framework for Climate Resilience.
