This European Commission Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action supports access to similar or complementary advanced national and pan-European research infrastructures. It funds transnational access, on-site or remote, and/or virtual access for curiosity-driven, excellent interdisciplinary research. Its goals include reducing fragmentation, spreading scientific excellence, increasing knowledge circulation, and integrating a wider user community into the European research infrastructure ecosystem.
Projects should combine a broad portfolio of infrastructure and data services with bidirectional researcher exchanges, networking, proactive outreach, and activities specifically targeting early-stage researchers. Exchanges should favour direct interaction and support longer-term collaboration. Where relevant, projects should address FAIR data management, interoperability, and connections to the European Open Science Cloud. They should also exploit synergies and ensure complementarity with other EU grants supporting access provision.
