The European Commission’s call, administered by the Delegation of the European Union to Cambodia, supports civil society, human rights, and democracy in Cambodia through two NDICI–Global Europe thematic programmes. It seeks an inclusive, empowered, locally rooted civil society that participates effectively in governance and development and supports sustainable, inclusive community development.
The Civil Society Organisations lot focuses on participation, capacities, partnerships, and influence in development and public policy through coalition-building, evidence-informed engagement, and access to organisational support and resources. The Human Rights & Democracy lot focuses on safeguarding civic space and strengthening locally led action, online and offline. It supports protection of human rights defenders, victims, and at-risk groups, responses to violations of fundamental freedoms, and safe, meaningful rights-based participation and accountability at community level.
