The Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Partnership runs this call with European Commission co-funding under Horizon Europe. It supports transnational research and innovation addressing urban challenges, from strategic and applied research to innovation and implementation. Projects should help local authorities, service and infrastructure providers, and citizens translate global strategies into local action, improving urban sustainability and quality of life.
The call covers three Transition Pathways: the 15-minute City, Circular Urban Economies and Positive Energy Districts. Topics span adaptive reuse, cross-sector mobility transitions, neighbourhood economies, green and blue space maintenance, circular urban production, private housing energy solutions, and integrated energy flexibility. Interdisciplinary approaches are welcomed. Projects should explicitly engage stakeholders, consider users’ needs when defining goals, and demonstrate the added value of transnational collaboration.
