Key Information: Applicants and all consortium partners must be on EFSA’s Article 36 competent organisations list by the submission deadline.

    Description

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) seeks a single organisation or consortium to support its Scientific Panel on Biological Hazards (BIOHAZ) and ad hoc Working Group in evaluating alternative methods for using or disposing of animal by-products and derived products. The work contributes to draft scientific opinions, rather than implementing the alternative processing methods themselves.

EFSA intends to establish one four-year Framework Partnership Agreement, implemented through specific grant agreements for individual assignments. Support may cover full or partial assessments, including dossier analysis, preparation of initial drafts, integration of additional information, and responses to public consultation comments. Full assessments also include subsequent scientific evaluation drafts. The call responds to anticipated growth in regulatory assessments associated with recycling, reuse, and circular-economy practices.
