This European Commission Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action supports critical research data and knowledge repositories, scientific services and other facilities serving the life sciences, particularly biomedical and biomolecular disciplines. It aims to reduce vulnerabilities arising from precarious funding, concentrated technical responsibilities and dependence on limited expertise, while strengthening European sovereignty and leadership in international data infrastructure collaboration.
Projects should integrate trusted, FAIR resources into the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Federation and demonstrate efficiencies and scientific value across multiple EOSC Nodes. The action also supports technical reliability, cybersecurity, trusted access, diversified business and financing models, international sharing of operational commitments, and training to retain essential technical and scientific expertise.
