Summary: Supports integrated transnational and virtual access to research infrastructure services addressing six EU priorities and emerging challenges.
Key Information: Proposals should include an ESFRI Landmark or ERIC beneficiary, with a hosting-entity alternative for distributed ERICs.
The European Commission funds this Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action to provide transnational access—on-site or remote—and/or virtual access to complementary, interdisciplinary research infrastructures. The main objective is access to existing services, supported by user training and scientific and technical assistance. Service improvements and development can also be supported under specified conditions.
Projects should simplify access through single-entry portals, interoperable service catalogues and converging access procedures. They should enable challenge-driven research, strengthen responsiveness to emerging needs, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and improve FAIR data management. Training should give particular attention to early-career researchers and researchers from widening and candidate countries. Each proposal is expected to address one of six thematic areas and explicitly identify its chosen area.
