Key Information: Minimum procurement value: €20 million; normally requires contracting authorities from three eligible countries, including two EU Member States.
This Common Procurement Action under the European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP) is managed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS). It supports cooperation in procuring C5ISR and space-related defence capabilities at any point in their life cycle, including establishing, managing and maintaining defence industrial readiness pools.
The scope includes intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance sensors and assets, cyber defence products, communication and networking systems, command and control, Galileo-enabled equipment, space domain awareness, counter-jamming and counter-spoofing, in-space operations and services, and sovereign capabilities complementing the EU Space Programme. Joint procurement should fill capability gaps, strengthen cooperation between participating countries, improve interoperability, and reinforce participants’ C5ISR and space-related products. Systems, parts and variants may be procured through framework contracts.
