Platforms and end-products supports defence producers in expanding and modernising EU production capacity to shorten lead times and strengthen resilient supply chains for critical defence equipment.

Summary: Supports reinforcement of EU production capacity for critical defence platforms and end-products across land, air, naval and underwater domains.
Key Information: Single applicants or consortia of up to 15 legal entities may apply, subject to establishment, ownership-control and component-origin restrictions.
Description
This European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP) industrial reinforcement action is managed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS). It supports production expansion, modernisation, automation, repurposing, cross-border industrial partnerships, reserved surge capacity, industrialisation and testing. Its goals are greater competitiveness, shorter production lead times and more resilient, geographically distributed supply chains.
Target products include artillery, armoured and support vehicles, fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, unmanned and counter-unmanned systems, loitering munitions, precision-guided and missile systems, radars, mine warfare systems, surface and underwater naval platforms, torpedoes, firearms, and satellite payloads and terminals. Production priorities cover forging/machining, key sub-systems, composites, assembly/integration, Manufacturing as a Service and dual-use heavy-industry conversion. Optional work packages may protect production sites and systems against physical, cyber and drone-enabled threats.
