European Studies Course Development and Teaching Grant supports Notre Dame faculty in creating and teaching new undergraduate courses across disciplines to enliven European studies at the University.

Funding Amounts: Up to $2,500: $500 for eligible proposals, plus $2,000 for successful applicants

Key Information: Courses must originate in or be cross-listed with EURO and be taught at least twice in three years.
Description
The Nanovic Institute for European Studies at the University of Notre Dame supports the development and teaching of undergraduate European Studies courses through this competitive faculty grant. Part of the Institute’s support for substantive faculty-led projects, the program aims to enliven European studies at Notre Dame through new courses across disciplines.
Courses may originate in any department. Priority funding goes to courses addressing diplomacy, Ukrainian Studies, the Nanovic Institute’s research priorities—especially “the peripheries”—University initiatives, and topics qualifying for the Ways of Knowing attribute. These are funding priorities rather than limits on the disciplines or European Studies topics that applicants may propose.
