EV Home Charge supports Colorado utilities with rebates for residential wiring, panel upgrades, and capacity-management technologies to expand home electric vehicle charging and encourage EV adoption.

EV Home Charge applications are now available online, replacing the notice that applications were closed; applicants must create a portal account and read the Request for Applications. Questions must go through the Q&A form October 13–23; CEO will not answer individual questions during open application rounds.

Description
EV Home Charge is a pilot program of the Community Access Enterprise in partnership with the Colorado Energy Office (CEO). It helps utilities reduce the cost of residential electrical upgrades needed for electric vehicle charging, particularly in older homes with limited panel capacity or extensive wiring needs. The program seeks to expand access to home charging statewide, including rural areas, and support EV adoption.
Funding supports new rebate programs, expanded existing programs, combined incentives, and dedicated incentives for income-qualified households. Projects may also deploy technologies such as smart meters, utility-managed networked chargers, or amp clamps that enable charging within existing electrical capacity. Utilities without existing panel or wiring incentives receive priority. The pilot also tests incentive structures and technologies to inform future program expansion.
