Description
The Evansville Fund is a permanent charitable endowment overseen by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin. Founded in 1996, it distributes a portion of its annual earnings to support arts, education, health and human services, and historic preservation in the Evansville community. Grants support charitable programs and projects offered by nonprofit organizations, the school district, and local government agencies.
A local volunteer advisory board leads fundraising and determines grant awards once per year, responding to changing community needs. Recent grants have supported food assistance, community activities at Creekside Place, fire department equipment, school sensory regulation equipment and instruments certification, and historic preservation work. The Evansville Family of Funds also brings together funds established by individuals and organizations to advance their charitable goals for the community.
