Description
The Paul Mellon Centre’s Event Support Grants fund organisations sharing academic research on British art, visual culture and architecture with varied audiences. Supported formats include lectures, conferences, workshops, gallery talks, symposia and seminars. Film screenings and artistic performances may qualify when accompanied by research-based talks or presentations. Events can be live, online or hybrid and should contribute to the wider British art field.
The Centre supports original, rigorous research from the medieval period to the present, including work involving global histories and contexts. Projects must have a clear historical and critical dimension. Priorities include lasting contributions to scholarship, timely research, inclusion, and work in geographical or cultural contexts not previously supported by the Centre.
