Description
This grant provides state funding to Tennessee government agencies that operate local jails housing Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) inmates. The goal is to support the implementation or enhancement of evidence-based programming that improves outcomes for offenders, specifically targeting reduced recidivism and successful reentry into society. Funded programs must be supported by scientific research and may include educational, vocational, mental health, substance abuse rehabilitation, and healthy relationship-building components.
