Description
The National Institute on Aging (NIA), part of the National Institutes of Health, plans to support the continued operation and expansion of the Exceptional Longevity Data Management and Coordinating Center (EL DMCC). Established in 2022, the center connects studies in NIA’s human longevity translational research portfolio, helping researchers use deeply phenotyped cohorts alongside genomic and multi-omics datasets.
The center harmonizes data, develops common standards, provides statistical and computational tools, and coordinates research across projects. Its ELITE Portal gives researchers controlled access to harmonized data, analytical tools, and cloud-based workspaces. The planned award will expand cross-cohort and cross-species integration, AI and machine-learning capabilities, translational resources, Portal functionality, and community engagement through training and workshops.
