Description
The Huntington offers nine Exchange Fellowships for one-month research residencies at partner colleges, universities, and libraries in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The program supports doctoral candidates who have advanced to candidacy, faculty members, and other postdoctoral scholars based in North America. Fellows receive support for travel and their stay while consulting collections and archives abroad.
Exchange awards are assigned by the review committee according to the particular archives or libraries an applicant needs to consult. Applicants cannot indicate a preference between a travel grant and an exchange fellowship. Research requiring access to archives in a city with an exchange agreement is likely to receive an exchange award.
