Description
This program provides grants of up to $1,000 to enable teachers at low-income public schools in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties (California) to take their students on one-day classroom excursions. Funding may be used for transportation, admission fees, and food, with the goal of offering students enriching, hands-on experiences outside the traditional classroom environment—such as museum visits, hikes, trips to the beach, or ferry rides. The program is designed to broaden students' horizons and foster curiosity through real-world learning opportunities.
