The University of Exeter and UBC Okanagan jointly offer the Visiting Research Student Fellowship to support research projects and creative activities at the partner institution. Students work with a host supervisor on pre-defined, high-quality activities aligned with both universities’ academic and strategic priorities. The program develops research skills, provides international and interdisciplinary experience, and strengthens cross-institutional collaboration.
Projects address three themes: Adaptation to Climate and Ecological Change, Innovative Health Initiatives, and Enhancing Social Justice. These priorities encompass responses to the climate crisis and community resilience, interdisciplinary advances in human health and performance, and efforts to create a fairer, more inclusive society. The partnership emphasizes regional needs and collaboration with local communities through research, creative work, and education.
