Description
The Paul Mellon Centre’s Exhibition Publication Grants help organisations disseminate new and insightful research on British art through books, catalogues and similar printed publications associated with exhibitions and displays. The exhibition may be forthcoming or have already taken place. Support is intended to enhance the final publication and its contribution to the wider fields of British art, visual culture and architecture.
The programme values academic rigour, originality and a publication’s lasting contribution to scholarship. Assessment also considers timely research, work in geographical or cultural contexts not previously supported by the Centre, and projects that include underrepresented voices or reach broader audiences within British art studies. Successful recipients must send a copy of the publication to the Centre for its library collection.
