Description
This National Science Foundation (NSF) initiative, through the Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences (SBE), aims to expand geographic and institutional diversity in SBE research. The program encourages both new proposals and supplemental funding requests from institutions located in EPSCoR (Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) jurisdictions. The focus is on building sustainable research capacity, fostering inclusive and representative research, and leveraging the diverse assets of underrepresented regions and institutions. Activities supported include research, education, workforce and professional development, and infrastructure investments. Collaborative efforts with Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and Emerging Research Institutions (ERIs) within EPSCoR jurisdictions are particularly encouraged.
