The Drama Therapy Fund’s Expanding the Field Grant encourages drama therapists to introduce their work to the wider mental health field, the medical field, and the general public. Its purpose is to expand awareness of drama therapy and share knowledge with disciplines beyond creative arts therapy.
Supported activities include presenting at non-creative arts therapy conferences or meetings, publishing or researching a book, and creating documentaries about aspects of drama therapy. Other projects may also receive support when they expand knowledge of the field to other disciplines. The grant can help cover travel, registration, publication, and other project-related expenses. Priority goes to drama therapists who live and work in areas where drama therapy is not a well-known modality.
