    Description

The Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Exploratory Research Instrumentation programme supports development from idea to prototype, including related tools for data acquisition and analysis. It targets research instrumentation that is not commercially available, or is significantly more sustainable or otherwise advantageous than existing solutions. The programme aims to expand scientific and technical expertise at Danish non-profit research institutions and encourage dissemination and deployment of tools that could underpin new research infrastructures.

Supported technologies must enable research within the Foundation’s health and sustainability priorities, including fundamental research with potential future applications in these areas. Relevant disciplines include biomedicine, clinical science, natural and technical sciences, data and computer science, and artificial intelligence. Applications must explicitly explain the connection between the research enabled and the Foundation’s strategic priorities.
