Description
MIT’s Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST) offers Exploratory Visit grants within its Collaboration with Visiting Artists funding category. These small grants support early encounters with potential Visiting Artists, helping MIT collaborators establish a basis for joint work and full-fledged proposals before developing a more substantial project.
CAST promotes art, science, and technology as interrelated modes of exploration, knowledge, and discovery. It supports exploratory work that may lead to creative works, significant research, or future collaborations, including projects that may be difficult to fund through traditional sources. CAST encourages proposals focused on racial and social justice and those that amplify the artistic work and voices of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC).
