Description
The Explorers Club Impact Grants support outstanding projects in science and exploration that offer the potential for significant cultural or environmental impact. The program is open to a wide range of disciplines, including biological sciences, archaeology, anthropology, paleontology, earth sciences, ecology, and astronomy, as well as interdisciplinary or exploratory projects that contribute new knowledge about the planet or its inhabitants. A key aspect of the program is the requirement for compelling storytelling—grantees are expected to communicate their discoveries and insights to a global audience through media and public engagement.
Projects must be primarily field-based and can take place anywhere in the world except China. The program encourages adventure with a purpose, blending scientific or conservation objectives with engaging narratives. Past grantees have conducted expeditions ranging from shark conservation and glacier studies to archaeological and climate adaptation research.
