It covers interventional clinical trials, non-interventional studies—including observational and real-world evidence research—and non-commercial health economics and outcomes research. The program is open to qualified academic and community-based scientists or consortia seeking to collaborate with Boehringer Ingelheim on a protocol and the analysis and publication of results.
Boehringer Ingelheim may contribute scientific expertise and intellectual input under an ECR Agreement, including on study design, protocol development, statistical analysis, and publications. The sponsor makes final research decisions and is responsible for initiating, managing, financing, and carrying out the study. Boehringer Ingelheim does not serve as its regulatory sponsor or perform its operational work.
