Description
Gilead Sciences’ Externally Sponsored Research program provides funding and/or study drug support for independent research projects that advance clinical and scientific knowledge in Gilead’s therapeutic areas: virology (including HIV, hepatitis, and emerging viruses), oncology, and inflammation. The program encompasses two main streams: Investigator Initiated Research (IIR), where external investigators lead all aspects of the study, and Collaborative Research, which may involve Gilead’s participation in study design or analysis. Funding is provided through targeted Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and open Topics of Interest, with a rigorous review process focused on scientific merit and relevance.
