    Description

Gilead Sciences' Externally Sponsored Research program funds high-quality, impactful research conducted by independent investigators, academic centers, community organizations, and other external entities. The program is designed to generate evidence that informs clinical decision-making and improves patient outcomes in Gilead’s key therapeutic areas, including virology (HIV, hepatitis, emerging viruses, fungal diseases), oncology, and inflammation. Both Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) and Collaborative Research are supported, with the latter involving closer partnership with Gilead in aspects such as study design or data analysis. Support may include funding, study drug provision, or both, and research may target unmet needs, implementation science, or innovative clinical and epidemiological questions.
