Description
FACES (Freeman Assists Communities with Extra Support) is a Carl M. Freeman Foundation program established in Delaware in 2000. It supports smaller nonprofit organizations and overlooked neighborhood projects in Sussex County, Delaware, and Montgomery County, Maryland. The program responds to the foundation’s belief that larger, more visible nonprofits often attract donors’ attention while smaller community projects receive less support.
A volunteer advisory board of community leaders evaluates applications and recommends funding based on local needs and priorities.
