Description
Greater Worcester Community Foundation’s Facing Change: Nonprofit Effectiveness program supports the internal organizational development of small and grassroots nonprofits. Modeled on the foundation’s Nonprofit Effectiveness Grant Program, it funds one-time projects that strengthen operations and impact. The goal is to help organizations that often launch programs without operational infrastructure build a stronger internal foundation for increased support and sustainable programming.
The program favors deeper investment in one well-defined focus area rather than multiple projects. Supported work includes governance, storytelling and marketing, leadership development, financial planning, organizational assessment and planning, and infrastructure. Projects should be ready to begin when funding arrives and explain why the work is needed and how it will move the organization or its leadership forward.
