Description
The Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) is an annual competitive grant program by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council aimed at enhancing the research capabilities of individual academic staff at local self-financing degree-awarding institutions. The scheme encourages academic staff to undertake research projects that contribute to their scholarly development and enrich teaching and learning by integrating new research experiences and knowledge into the curriculum. Proposals are evaluated primarily on academic quality, with the expectation that research outputs will have tangible impact on both scholarship and education.
