Funding Amounts: HK$150,000 (Biology & Medicine, Engineering, Physical Sciences) or HK$100,000 (Business Studies, Humanities & Social Sciences), inclusive of 15% on-costs; up to 3 years/project.

Description
The Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) aims to develop research capabilities among individual academic staff at Hong Kong’s local self-financing degree-awarding institutions. The scheme is designed to encourage research projects that generate new knowledge or inform teaching and learning practices, fostering a culture of research excellence and supporting the transfer of research experience into educational contexts. Applications are submitted individually and must be approved by the applicant’s institution.
