Description
The Faculty Enrichment Program (FEP) is a four-month, non-degree visiting scholar program for university instructors from Uzbekistan. Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent and administered by American Councils for International Education since 2019, it strengthens pedagogical skills, disciplinary expertise, and educational ties between Uzbekistan and the United States.
Fellows develop curricula, explore alternative teaching methods, gather teaching resources, observe courses, and attend academic conferences. American Councils matches participants with U.S. university programs appropriate to their expertise, where faculty advisors help guide their academic engagement and professional contacts. Fields described include agricultural science, biotechnology, energy and renewable energy, health care, and related professional disciplines. Fellows may also be invited to lecture or co-teach, while building relationships that support ongoing collaboration between host and home institutions.
