Description
The Faculty Grant is administered by MIT’s Center for Art, Science & Technology (CAST). It supports full-time MIT faculty developing research or creative projects with significant impact on campus or beyond. The program advances CAST’s mission of bringing art, science, and technology together as interrelated, mutually informing modes of exploration, knowledge, and discovery.
CAST welcomes cross-disciplinary artistic proposals, including exploratory work and projects that are difficult to support through traditional funding sources but could lead to creative works, significant research, or future collaborations. It encourages proposals focused on racial and social justice or amplifying the artistic work and voices of Black, Indigenous, and people of color. Proposals are evaluated by a multidisciplinary Selection Committee.
